I had hoped rainy days were over. To not have to walk through rain again nor write about it again. But life, just like the Camino, has it’s own ways and does what it wants. I can only adapt although my mind finds it difficult to do so. I will try to not repeat myself in this blog post since I’ve already written a lot about rainy days before and will refrain from using words like ‘rain’, ‘water’ and ‘wet’ any further in this blog posting.

How will my legs hold up today after a full day of rest? I am keen to find out. After another good night’s rest in Baiona it’s off to Vigo, the first and only big city on the route apart from starting and ending points Porto and Santiago de Compostela.

Off to an unexpected early start today. It gives way for the longest day so far. During my first three days I am averaging a lot more than I originally had imagined. Let’s talk numbers.

End of day 2. I have felt the weight of my backpack during a large part of this day. A day in which I transitioned from the coastal route to the central one.
